Inventors

 In our reading group, our learning has focussed on innovators and inventors.

An innovator is a person who creates somthing that can help people or make it easier.

Kids can be inventors too. I found out that

• Jeanie Low invented the Kiddie Stool when she was just 11. It’s a folding stool that fits under the kitchen sink. Kids can unfold it and use it to reach the sink.

I would like to invent The Auto chicken feeder.When you push a button inside of your home it will scoop chicken food out for your chickens.If it is snowing the will be a roof the can come out on top with a heater to heat it up.

Today I did a gif.This is the first time I have done a gif.I am Proud of myself becuase it is really hard to become a whizz superstar.It take's about 8 weeks to get it so I am proud of it.

In week 3 on Wednesday we did Athletics.We did a special theme for it and it was the Olympics because the Olympics were happening when we did it.We did Running,Long jump,High jump, and throwing.We had our own Countrys yellow was Asia,Red was America,blue was Europe,Green was Oceana,Black was Africa.At the end of the day We got to do some activities like weelbarrow raceing,gumboot throwing,Egg and spoon race,tie our feet together and run,and the sack race.I came first on running for all my races,first on high jump,fourth on throwing,and third on long jump.

Matthew M Hoilday Reflection

In the School Hoildays at 7am I drove down to Thames.  It was a incredible 4 Hours of driving. When we got there we starting unpacking our bags.Then for the rest of the day we played some board games.The next day we started our hike up the Pinnacles.I new it was going to be a long day.A couple hours later we finally got to the hut.This is where most people stop on there way up to the Pinnacles Hut.

We had our lunch and then we went up to the Pinnacles Hut.On the the way up there were some ladders going up on rocks.It was so high.It was thousands of feet high.On the way down it was harder than going up .

It took us about 6hours going up and down.At the end of the day we were so happy. In the Hoildays I went to Coles house for a playdate.We went to the movies to see Fast and Furious 9.When we got to the movies we brought some jellybeans and some popcorn.

When we were eating our jellybeans some tasted disgusting like dirt,plants,and vanilla.After the movie we went to Coles house and played basket ball then my Mum came to pick me up.I asked my Mum for Cole to come for a sleepover.She said YES!

So we went home played a nerf war and then we got ready for our movie.It was Captain America Civil War.After that we got into bed.The next day we got up at 6.30 am and got ready at 7.00 am we launched a water bottle rocket.It went about 40 feet high.After that Cole saddley had to go home.

Term 2 Reflection

 

Mothers Day Poem

 On Friday we were writing our Mothers Day Poem about our Mums.We invited our Mums for a celebration and cuppa and cupcakes.My Mum was working so my Grandma came instead.I made my Grandma a cuppa and gave her my cupcake.I played some games with her and then it was time to go home.My favourite game was Chess. 

 How have you been kind this week? I have been including people in games.like kings and queens witch is a basketball game and you pratise your hoops.

What questions have you asked this week?One was about a maths questiont hat was really hard but got it right in the end but it took me a really long time.

What is one thing that you have learned this week?We have learned how to make a paper box witch was really hard.Becasue you had to make it fit a dice inside.

What was your favourite mistake this week?My favourite mistake was was geting a question wrong and having to start the quiz again.

How can you make next week great?By being nice to people and getting all of my work done.

How Maui fished up the North Isalnd

 Today we were doing a play and acting out how Maui fished up the North Island and what they did.

I was the third brother and I had to say "its a whale''  

I found it tricky to remember my lines and tell people what to do in the play.

The best part about it was having fun and giving it a go.

Today I was learning how to record an interview with my buddy using Screencastify.

I enjoyed interviewing Nelson.I also enjoyed seeing how Nelson did in his races.

I found it tricky to make a video.I also found it tricky to use screencastify and posting my sceencastify on my blog.

Week 6 Blog Post.

We are learning how to post on our blogs.

The most trickiest part about posting is to making a slide and writing what its about.

The most easiest thing is to file, make a copy and publish.

I need to start commenting on other peoples blogs.

 Today I was learning how to insert callouts in Google slides.

My callouts showed that what to do when you dont no how to keep your chrombook safe

I enjoyed takeing a photo and finding the perfect picture for the keybord

I found it tricky to find all of the words to put in my callouts and get the right one from the video
